Have you ever wondered what is this small icon (32x32) on the left of the website link in your address bar, which allows you identify them easily when you are working on multiple websites or under bookmarks.
What is Favicon?
A favicon (short for ‘favorites icon’), are litle icons or small image associated with a particular website or webpage, shown next to the site’s name in the URL bar of most browsers. The most common sizes for favicons are: 16×16, 32×32, 48×48, 64×64, 128×128.

Why should we have favicon or add one to our site?

When you are working with so many tabs on your browser or you might have bookmarked so many sites with different categories, it would be difficult or little time consuming to see the exact link or page to navigate.using favicon you can easily pic the tab which helps you to save time and increase your work flow.

Favicon stands out when you are working with lot of tabs.It also improves your websites stickability and branding power. If some one bookmark you site, fav icon would always been seen before the link and increase your website attention and drive the person back again on your site. It is not nicer to not to have a favicon on the site , which takes only 5-10 mins to create and upload on the site by any newbie.

Stage III :
Using the code below you can have the the favicon added to the site. Embed the code Under Head Section as showed in the image below.
Also you can have this link copied and pasted if you have same image file name:
